travels and vacations had me away from the garden for much of september but i did manage to get a few shots taken.
the tomato trial ended at the beginning of the month. the results weren't very promising. i can say that it is easy to see why people choose hybrid plants over heirloom plants; yields and disease resistance. we had issues with blight and root knot nematodes as well as a monthlong drought that made our yields pathetic to say the least.
see you in the garden, come join us for cake!
boy did things get away from us!
buckeye butterfly sipping chive blossom nectar
lemon cukes from the vertical garden
beauty berry in the rain garden
zinnias in the dish
darry weeding the dish
darry's big find in the garden-amanita phalloides
this is one of the deadliest mushrooms around, don't even joke about eating it!
see you in the garden, come join us for cake!
