early spring blooms

As winter fades and spring creeps in, the garden is full of activity from dormant plants awakening.  Look closely and you will find a lot more in bloom besides the crocus and the daffodils!

 Mahonia has beautiful little yellow bells

 A pulmonaria seedling, commonly called lungwort, has a rainbow of blooms in the shade garden.
