it was hot and humid but we made progress. slowly but surely, we are catching up. the lousy weather that has plagued the region has set things back a bit but we have a long growing season and we will catch up quickly. this week the weather should be warm and humid with temperatures hovering 90 every day.
so what have we been up to? take a peek and see for yourself!
the new herb garden is taking shape slowly. we are in need of rocks, logs/stumps and plants. if you can help us, please email me and let me know what you can donate. the start of the medicinal herb bed in the herb garden.
another shot of the same bed
the asparagus bed
well, wonders never cease. of all things to survive the winter-all of our annual begonia plants made it through the cold, cold weather and here are two of them.
another new garden. we moved all of the perennials from the color wheel garden to make way for the herb garden and now we have a pretty garden surrounding the old arbor.
these beds need to be filled, have any extra perennials (we prefer natives if possible) let us know, we need enough to fill the four raised beds.
cranesbill, brookside (native geraniums)
asiatic lilies
last but not least, helianthum
we will be out this weekend, 5/30 from 9am till ??? come on out and give us a hand. the monumental rainfall brought us unbelievable quantities of weeds and maple seedlings and we could use some help! there will be cake, i promise!
