everyone, even dogs, deserve a second chance and this week it was sugar bear's turn to prove that she can visit the garden and not cause trouble. she made two new friends, singer and annie who belong to fellow master gardener and project chair for the demo garden, cherri.
once again it was a butterfly day in the garden and there were many to watch.

back in the early spring, author patricia lanza came to lecture the dcmg on lasagna gardening.
while in nashville, she built a small bed in the demo garden and it was taped for an episode of the volunteer gardener show on pbs. the garden has filled out nicely and attracts many butterflies.
during our work shift today, we concentrated on the huge growth of weeds and their removal.
